There Will Be Blood is a film adaptation of Upton Sinclair's novel Oil! which dates back to 1927. The movie is starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano. The film has been shoot in New Mexico and Marfa, Texas. It should be released on December 26, 2007.

This adaptation of Oil! by Upton Sinclair, is a period piece taking place in the turn-of-the-century where a tycoon (Daniel Day-Lewis) strikes it rich after gaining oil rights to a family's ranch, turning the small town into a boomtown where a charismatic young preacher (Paul Dano) captivates churchgoers. Too bad this movie will only have a limited release. I think this movie would have deserved a worldwide release.
